• Location data: your address, approximate location (neighbourhood level), and device-based location data (with your consent) to display nearby tasks and helpers.
• Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, actions taken on the Platform, and analytics data.
• Communications: messages exchanged with other users through the Platform, support inquiries, and feedback.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes: to provide, operate, and improve the Platform and our services; to match you with relevant tasks and helpers in your area; to process payments, payouts, and refunds; to verify your identity and maintain community trust; to send transactional notifications (task updates, payment confirmations, account alerts); to communicate with you about your account and respond to support requests; to enforce our Terms of Service and protect against fraud and abuse; and to comply with legal obligations.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With other users: your public profile information is visible to other users. Your exact address is only shared with Helpers after you have accepted an agreement, in accordance with your privacy settings.
• With payment processors: we share necessary transaction data with third-party payment service providers to process payments and payouts securely.
• With verification services: we share information with identity verification providers to perform background and identity checks.
• As required by law: we may disclose your information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or governmental requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of GuardianMesh, our users, or the public.
• In a business transfer: if GuardianMesh is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable privacy laws.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy. Specifically: account and profile information is retained while your account is active and for up to three (3) years after account closure for legal and safety purposes; transaction and payment records are retained for seven (7) years in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements; messages and communications are retained for the duration of any applicable dispute resolution period; anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting privacy@beava.ca, subject to our legal retention obligations.

7. Data Security

GuardianMesh implements appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and secure infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights Under PIPEDA

Under PIPEDA, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Right of access: you may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Right of correction: you may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

Commercial or promotional messages are only sent with your express consent and include a clear unsubscribe mechanism. 10. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, maintain your session, remember your preferences, and collect analytics data to improve our services. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform.

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age or under the age of majority in their province or territory of residence. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
